At Growing Minds, our Little Buds group is thoughtfully designed for young gestalt language processors (GLPs)—children who develop language in "chunks" or scripts rather than individual words.

This New York City, interest-based speech and language group provides a nurturing, child-led, and interest-based environment, where children are matched with peers of similar ages, communication stages, and shared passions (such as subways and trains, numbers and letters, animals, music, or favorite stories). This approach helps create natural connections, genuine engagement, and authentic opportunities for social interaction.

Led by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist trained in MeaningfulSpeech’s Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) framework, Little Buds is designed to:
🌼 Build confidence in communication
🌼 Explore language through play, movement, and child-led interests
🌼 Support the journey from scripts to spontaneous, self-generated speech
🌼 Foster social skills, friendships, and shared joy with like-minded peers

Our groups are kept small and individualized, allowing every child to be supported in a way that feels natural, safe, and affirming to their unique language development style.
